Surveying technology
Following a careful analysis of your project requirements, Network Mapping will deploy survey technology that delivers a high quality product, in a timely manner. Our acquisition technology includes market-leading aerial LiDAR and photographic instrumentation, terrestrial (ground-based) LiDAR scanners, GNSS base stations, weather stations and conventional survey equipment. Network Mapping has a dedicated Technology Center for processing work, staffed by remote-sensing technicians and engineers. This Technology Tenter provides us with full and complete control over our processing operations, with a 'no-outsourcing' approach that enables us to maintain high levels of quality and timeliness, in the delivery of our survey products.
Aerial LiDAR
Aerial LiDAR consists of an aircraft-mounted system that fires and records thousands of individual infrared survey pulses, every second. The pulses record accurate distance measurements to the ground, enabling us to produce a high-resolution 3D model of the earth's surface and anything that stands upon it.
Terrestrial LiDAR
Terrestrial LiDAR is a ground-based acquisition technique, with a scanning head mounted on a tripod platform. The system creates 3D models by collecting thousands of laser distance measurements.
Conventional survey
The Network Mapping team includes several land surveyors with years of experience in conventional survey techniques. Some of our clients request supplementary surveys, in addition to laser-derived topographic models - such as underground utility detection - and we are pleased to be able to fully integrate conventional survey data.
